This week has been a CRAZY week with the weather.
Sometimes we don't understand God and His power and plans. Actually not sometimes...MOST of the time. And most of the time...we NEVER see this plan in action either. It may happen 50 yrs from now...in a city on the other side of the world...but God has a plan and a purpose for it all.
I was a little scared at times this week..seeing as how I DO NOT like storms...however...Anna kept me okay...and kept reminding me I was okay...every time the wind would blow or the sirens would go off...which was A LOT!...God's power and strength was SO much this week! With a tornado warning for 6 days straight...flooding...deaths...homes destroyed...
I just sit and thank God...for keeping me safe.
I pray for those families who lost SO much in Vilonia...and now for the families in Alabama who have lost EVERYTHING. Last night we got a message that the death toll was at 50 and still counting. Not long after that...we got a message that said 200 were dead. Once again...I ask God why!?
I think God is glad when we ask questions. I don't think He wants us to sit on our butts and just go with what He says and does. I think He wants us to explore...question...investigate...reason...He wants us to SEARCH for Him and not just settle.
We have had an AMAZING Wednesday bible class at the student center here at Tech. We have been going through John and as Anna told me last night..."It's a true love story."
Jesus' love is SO amazing in this book. He shows love to people that in today's time we wouldn't even look at. We as His people...are suppose to be walking as He did...which means loving these people.
These people who are suffering from storms...divorce....financial problems...loneliness...sin....anger...a feeling of being lost.
JESUS LOVED THEM AND HELPED THEM!!!
...and so should I.
Tech had a HUGE worship service last night in Tucker which is our basketball gym. It was called "Real Church" and it was all of the campus ministries at Tech who united together to form a worship service or what the "REAL CHURCH" use to be.
